1984 Part 3 - Chapter 3

Love is powerful, no matter how powerful you are you cannot control how people feel. O'Brien has broken all aspects of Winston physically and mentally but after severe torture he can't make Winston stop loving Julia. The Party's goal is achieving absolute power but they cannot control how people feel, instead they manipulate you into believing what they want you to believe. This is similar to the Nazi Party propaganda used to turn Germans against Jews to gain support.

Slogans such as war is peace, freedom is slavery, and ignorance is strength are the same methods the Nazi's used to brainwash the population. Once your in power and can control the press, you control information. If your being told something by the government and they supply information(even false) to back it up the ideas are being forced on you. The only problem the Party has with Winston is they can't destroy his love for Julia but they wont give up until Winston gives in and obeys the Party.

Winston demonstrates how powerful love is by refusing to give into the Party and torture. No matter how much they hurt him they cannot change the way he feels towards his loved one.

Your introduction sentence is pretty good. Your thoughts and ideas in the blog are pretty well done, watch some of your grammar and supporting your ideas would make your writing a little bit stronger.

Again, you have a great introduction. Your conclusion could be better and this would improve the overall quality of your post. You make an interesting analysis of propaganda and the power it has. You have a good vocabulary and nice writing style which makes the post more enjoyable. Just watch the spelling and grammar.

Great comparisons to Nazi Propaganda; it shows you're making connections and understanding. You also have a strong start in your intro, but I feel like you need something in your first sentence to connect the two ideas better by using words like: but/and. Of course this will change the meaning conveyed... Just reading the introduction, it's not very clear whether you mean to argue that love is not as powerful, or whether other people cannot control your love.

good intro and ideas. But you need to further explain and support your ideas and this will help further understand your thinking
